Playing with the idea of a modern medallion quilt several years ago, I began designing True Story.  It evolved to include my husband’s initial at the center, a couple of rounds of blocks and then a series of numbers that represent my children’s birthdates.

Of course, for me, a modern medallion had to be in solids and the cool, classic combination of grey and white always seems right.  I chose a pale grey for the quilting and quilted across the whole quilt to unify its parts.  Finishing with a facing lets my story continue.
