Charity Challenge – April

Regatta

It feels a bit crazy to say, but Regatta may just be my favorite so far of my Charity Challenge quilts.  Those ships have just stolen my heart!  And how can you go wrong with a cheerful combination like navy, orange and white?  Just goes to show what the perfect piece of fabric can do for a quilt 🙂

Dripping Diamonds

I love a framed square – it gives you a good opportunity to show off some wonderful fabric.  The green squares in April’s #ehqcharitychallenge quilt, Dripping Diamonds, are cut at 6″ square – a nice size for some fussy cutting if you are so inclined.  I’m always a fan of blue and green quilts, but these shades seem so fresh for Spring!

If you haven’t made a quilt with blocks set on point before, this is a great place to start.  The blocks are simple and the quilt, finishing at 36″ x 48″, is small so give it a try!  It isn’t hard at all.  You can download the free pattern here.
