19 Oct Linked – a new quilt pattern!
Some fabrics are just too good to cut into small
pieces! My new Linked quilt pattern lets
the fabric be the focus. Use a pre-cut
charm pack or cut your own from that favorite fabric you’ve been hoarding.

When I saw Carrie Bloomston’s Paint collection (Windham
Fabrics) a few months ago, I knew it was a perfect match for Linked. The mottled semi-solids in the collection
provide the perfect backdrop for the prints to shine. The Linked pattern includes six sizes from baby
all the way to king. The featured quilt
is the throw size and finishes at about 58” square. The “link” and background pieces are strip
pieced to speed your sewing along.

I’m keeping my eyes open for a great kid friendly fabric to
fussy cut for the next time I need a baby quilt.

Some of you may remember my Linked Pillow-Along a couple of
years ago. The Linked pattern is an up-sized version of the pillow design. If
you want to give the pillow a try, the links to the blog posts are listed under
my Tutorials tab above.

The Fat Quarter Shop has generously agreed to provide a fatquarter bundle of Paint to one of my lucky readers! To enter the drawing, check out all the
fantastic fat quarter bundles they stock and tell me what fabric you want to
show off. I’ll let Mr. Random pick a
winner at the end of the day on Tuesday, Oct 21. Please, please leave your email address in
your comment. If I can’t reach you, you
can’t win!

Posted at 23:12h, 20 OctoberNice pattern! I would have to choose the Cotton & Steel basics in the Splash colorway or any of those Hoffman batiks paired with a solid. It's so hard to choose. Thanks!
