Catching up…

Sorry I’ve been gone so long!  Sometimes, when I’m working on a project, I have trouble getting my head out of that project and onto something else!  I’ll think “I need to do a blog post” and I can’t think of a thing to say or I just can’t clear the mental space to switch gears.

The past week or so I’ve been working on a project for the Modern Quilt Guild.  For each month of 2014, MQG members will get a free pattern (by a fellow MQG member) in the newsletter.  So if you don’t belong and you’ve been thinking about it, it might be a good time to join!  The quilt featured next month will be designed by yours truly 🙂  There are some great people in the line-up for the year and I’m really looking forward to seeing what they each come up with.  I put a  few sneak peeks of my project on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook.  I’ll do a full post when the newsletter is published.

I also added a couple of new teaching dates to my “Teaching Schedule” tab.  I’ll be teaching at the Original Sewing and Quilting Expos in Cleveland (April) and Indianapolis (May).  There are some great classes by fantastic teachers on the schedule – not to mention a quilt show and vendors!  I hope you’ll check it all out if you are in the area!

I meant to mention how much fun I had teaching my Modern Mystery class at the Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild a week or so ago.  It was such fun to see everyone’s fabric choices and how their quilts came out.  I think they all had a good time too.  I need to get that class added to my Classes tab above.  I’d love to come and teach for your guild or local shop – just shoot me an email!  (Click on the little envelope icon at the top of the right sidebar with the social media icons)

Be back soon!
