30 Dec I didn’t mean to disappear…
Sorry about that! I hadn’t planned on being gone so long. I’m afraid not much sewing has been happening around here. In addition to pre-holiday shopping and errands, we had dinner for 14 on Christmas Day, 10 the next day and 20 on Saturday. Lots of great people, fun, cooking and washing dishes 🙂
Did you get any good quilty gifts? Or give any? My older daughter brought me this amazing mug from England. She knows I’m a big Mondrian fan 🙂 I love it! She also brought me two little tealight holders that have Celtic knot designs on them (more bias applique inspiration) and a thimble from the Jane Austen Museum in Bath. My younger daughter got me some wonderful fingerless gloves since my hands often get cold while working on the computer. One of my friends swears by them.
I’m really looking forward to getting back to a more normal routine. How about you? Are you ready for a return to routine or do you want the holidays to last just a bit longer?

Posted at 13:59h, 30 DecemberIt sounds like you had a wonderful holiday filled with friends and family and food. I especially love your mug. We had family all last week too, but not as many as you. This coming week will be nice and quiet, with only part time work and time for naps and sewing I hope.
