Third Street Neighborhood

The original bee quilt – Warm Winter Night

It is about time I gave you a little more information on the new patterns I released this fall!

I originally designed this house block for The Bee’s Knee’s VQB in 2010.  Later, I developed it into a table runner pattern and published it as Third Street.  I finished the bee quilt in May of 2011 and have had fairly steady interest over time in the larger size.

Third Street Neighborhood

So this summer I went back and added two sizes to the table runner pattern.  The larger throw size (shown) is 64″ x 64″ and the smaller new size is 48″ x 40″.  I didn’t want to change the name of the pattern into something totally new since that might be confusing, so I decided that Third Street Neighborhood fit the bill nicely.  All the black and white fabrics in the new version are from various Timeless Treasures collections and the doors are from my stash.

Now that I’ve made two black and white versions, I’d love to try some other colors.  I “sketched” out this idea for the other new size, but ran out of time to make it.  The blues and white could be prints or solids or different shades of blue and white solids or what about multi-colored lights and darks with single color doors – lots of options!

Of course, you can get paper copies of the pattern in my Etsy shop and PDFs in my Etsy, Craftsy and PatternSpot shops.  Wholesale purchasers can contact me directly at ehq at sbcglobal dot net or order from Checker, Brewer, Petersen-Arne or United Notions.

What color scheme would you choose?
