I won the lottery!

At our Ann Arbor Modern Quilt Guild meeting last night we held a block lottery.

Participants made as many x and + blocks as they wanted and got one chance to win for each block made.  I made two blocks and won them all!  How fantastic is that!

I threw them up on my design wall in a pretty random fashion – I didn’t put two that were mostly the same color next to each other.  They look so pretty!  I really love the secondary design these blocks make so I might just sew them up as is (maybe moving a few around).  Or, I might play with some sashing inserts.  We’ll see.

I’m teaching at the Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild’s Quilting Unlimited tomorrow and then taking a class there on Saturday, so I won’t get to these lovelies til next week.  In the meantime, I’ll just admire them on my wall.  Thanks to all the AAMQG members who made blocks!  I’d love to do this again, even if I don’t win next time 🙂
