Get started early giveaway!

The summer has been speeding by and it is almost gone…  I need to get my brain a little more focused on Fall and the Holidays.  The new issue of Quilting Arts Gifts is sure to provide me with plenty of inspiration and lists of fun projects to make!

I’m happy to say that I have a project included in this wonderful issue.  When I was thinking about what to design for the magazine, an image of a beautiful holiday home all done in neutrals popped into my head.  I’m not sure where I saw the original image, but I loved its serenity in the midst of all the holiday bustle.

I designed my Joy of Simplicity pillow with that thought in mind.  In addition to the calming neutral color scheme, it is a large pillow so that it might be the only decoration you need in that perfect spot!

Quilting Arts has generously provided me with two copies of the magazine so let’s have a giveaway!  Tell me if you have even started thinking about holiday gifts (I hadn’t) or are you already well on your way.  It’s not required for the giveaway, but if you’d like to follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook or Flickr, click the buttons at the top of the right side column.

I’ll pick two winners at random at the end of the day on Monday, September 2.

I have actually ordered some boudoir pillows (12×16) with a christmas project in mind, but it looks like they just might work for your pillow also. I love applique. Wish I was going to Atlanta to take your class, but couldn't work it out.

I love the pillow. The furthest I have gotten for holiday crafting is thinking about it. I would love to spend some time making the pillow. It is so calm in contrast to holidays with my family! πŸ™‚

I have been thinking, started a list and pulling fabric together for one quilt – that's about as far as I've gotten which is pretty slim, considering next week is SEPT – eek !

great pillow-love the neutral idea, since I already have a lot of color in my home! I have not thought about holiday gifts at all yet as we are expecting (well my son and his wife are)our first grandchild (girl) at the beginning of December. All I can think about it baby stuff, baby quilts, baby, baby baby. I don't think my husband realizes the extent of my attachment to this child whom we've not even met yet. πŸ™‚ Thanks for the chance to win; JOY is definitely a good word for us at this time.

Love that pillow! Never thought of neutral holiday decorating…sounds so elegant. Haven't even had one thought of holiday gifts yet so that magazine would be a great starter. Thanks for the giveaway chance.
