The new season of Quilting Arts TV starts this month – series 1200.  Check here to see how to get it in your area.  I don’t know which episodes my projects will be on, but I do know there are lots of great quilters on this season and you really can’t go wrong with any episode 🙂

Over the next few weeks, I thought I’d show you the projects that I’ll be demonstrating on the TV show.  I’m not sure what order they’ll appear in, so I’ll do them here in random order.

The first project is a zippered pouch – great for make-up, pencils, sewing, anything really.  I first made one of these for myself several years ago.  You know how many of us like to keep lots of things in our purses – in case of emergencies?  Well, all those little things were getting kind of beat up and causing a lot of clutter in my purse.  So I made a pouch to put them in. Things rarely get lost in the bottom of my purse these days.  Score!

I really like the kind of triangular shape of this pouch – and, I promise, the zipper and lining are both easy to do!

I’ve dedicated one of these pouches to my hexy project.  This is a “I have no idea where this is going” project that I just decided to start when I wanted to do a little handwork.  I have some mini charms of Brigitte Heitland’s new line Barcelona (due out in September) to play with.  Don’t they look pretty?

Do you have any unusual uses for zippered pouches?
