Have you seen these?

Interweave has a new set of publications under the name Craft Tree.  It’s a great way to collect all the projects you’ve loved from Interweave magazines by type.  There are booklets on travel accessories, baby items, teacher gifts (it’s a good time of year for that one!), totes, patchwork pillows and lots more.  They also have booklets on knitting and crochet projects too if you’re a craft multitasker.

My Essential Sunglasses Case is included in the Teacher Gifts booklet.  My Car Trash Bag is included in the Travel Accessories one and my Holiday Ornament pillow is included in the Patchwork Pillows booklet.

Even though my sewing time is dedicated to designing my own projects, when I flip through booklets like these (and look at blogs and Pinterest, etc), I see so many designs by others that I’d love to make!  If only I could squeeze an extra day into the week or more hours into the day 🙂  Are you making anything just for yourself this spring?

(PS  Check back later this week for a Modern Patchwork giveaway!)

Yes, finally! Early in Jan, I had to clean the sewing/fabric "bomb" that had exploded all over the living room. I decided to start using older WiPs. To date, I've made some smaller quilt tops, and several potholders, all for us. Best of all, from Pinterest, I had pinned that BEAUTIFUL Newtown Auction Pillow from Cori @ Let's Eat Grandpa!, and decided after making two for our school's fundraiser, I wanted one. That is what is sitting beside me now. I've pulled out my favorite scraps, including a little tiny piece of Heather Ross's Swimming Sisters for the center.

You know how we give away so much of what we make, that it's really nice when we keep something for ourselves.
