QuiltCon is nearly here!

I’ve been sewing and organizing and sewing and organizing and…  You get the idea!  I’ve never traveled so far to teach three classes at once, so I’m making my lists and checking them… ten times 🙂

If you’re going, I look forward to seeing you there!  If you’re not going, I’ll try to remember to take some pictures to share.  Also, the Modern Quilt Guild and Craftsy have teamed up to make the QuiltCon lectures available on Craftsy.  I haven’t looked into the details yet, but I’m sure there will be more info on the MQG website and on Craftsy too.

There are a lot of really great people doing presentations:  Denyse Schmidt, Yoshiko Jinzenji, Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr, Anna Maria Horner, Amy and David Butler, Heather Ross, Jacquie Gering, Heather Grant, Thomas Knauer, Heather Jones and more!

I have to say I’ve been impressed with how the MQG has put this all together.  It is quite an undertaking to organize classes, lectures, vendors, and a quilt show for more than 1500 people.  (I know that AQS and Quilts, Inc have been doing this for years, but it is still a big job!)

I am going, Debbie, since we live only 7 or so hours away and I am lucky enough to have a quilt in the show. I've naturally excited to attend. I'll look for your classes on the MQG website and try to make it to one if they're not sold out. Good luck getting everything there and back. And remember to have fun!
