Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!  2013 is going to be an outstanding year, I just know it!

I’m starting the year off with a look back at 2012:

1. Facade, 2. Who wants a Hug?, 3. Kiss Pillow, 4. FTLOS2 Sent, 5. Daisy Chain Table Topper, 6. Reunion Rebel Flock WIP, 7. Twinkle, 8. Coasters, 9. Echo Pillow, 10. Summer Sunrise pillow, 11. Petal Pop, 12. Coffeehouse, 13. Pillow, 14. Neighborhood Charm, 15. Owl Pillow, 16. Linked, 17. Piping Pop Pouch, 18. EHQ Stocking, 19. North Pole Tree Skirt, 20. Winter Night Pillow, 21. Joy Centerpiece, 22. Christmas Tree Farm, 23. Randot Table Runner, 24. Bee Block, 25. Janome Horizon 7700 QCP

I made a lot of small projects this year and not so many big quilts.  I started off the year with Rachel’s (PSIQuilt) Facade class which she ran through Flickr.  It was a fun, fast project using a layer cake and we are still using this quilt on our couch every night.

Last year also brought several firsts for me as I added 10 free tutorials/patterns to the thousands (millions?) out there on the internet.  I had my first project, Neighborhood Charm, published on Moda Bake Shop and I participated in the six-week long Holiday Craft Bash with Meredith, Jacey and Jessica.  Earlier in the year, I hosted my first “pillow along” featuring my “Linked” pillow design.  Add my “Kiss” and “Hug” pillows from February and that is 10!

I participated in four swaps this year:  For the Love of Solids, Pillow Talk, GenQ Valentines Swap and the X-Factor Pillow Swap (previously called the Modern Quilted Pillow Swap), had four designs published in magazines and designed four new projects for my QuiltCon classes.

I didn’t come close to meeting all my goals for 2012, but I knew I wouldn’t when I wrote them – I’m chronically over-optimistic as to how much I can accomplish 🙂  Some of my key goals for 2013 are to write more patterns, blog on a more regular schedule and learn to free motion quilt.

What about you?  If you set goals, did you reach them?  What do you want to do in 2013?

I’m linking to Lynne’s Fresh Sewing Day!

Happy New YEar! I do set goals, don't always reach them. This year I want to be more productive. More finished quitls! And bigger!

I've enjoyed popping over to your blog this year. My resolution is to practise with my LA machine until I feel competent!

I love your mosaic, Debbie! Such great projects — I did a lot of small ones too myself this year. I think it's good to have a balance between the quilts and the little things!
