Swap progress

I’m stitching away on my For the Love of Solids Swap.      (First post on this swap here)  This picture is one part of the quilt top.  I ended up leaving out the aqua fabrics.  They stood out too much against the rest of the greens, yellows and greys.  Pretty, but not what I wanted for this piece.  These little squares finish at 1″.  I definitely underestimated how much time it would take to cut them all and then sew them together 🙂

The shipping date is March 10 – that’s Saturday!  I’d better stop typing and get back to sewing!

I love your color choice. Although I first opted for bringing in the aqua I'm now convinced that reducing your color wheel the way you did is the better choice. For me it looks so precious like a soft spring flower on a cliff.

Looks so pretty. You're so right about tiny squares taking forever. I tend to underestimate the time I need and than kick myself for choosing designs that take way too long.I'm sure it will be well worth it, though. It looks beautiful!

I love your design. This will certainly make a wonderful sewing machine cover.

I love the splash of colour wandering down through this quilt – it would be a fun quilt for the gents with the addition of some funky bold modern prints too
