17 Nov Sewing, sewing…

You may be wondering if I fell off a cliff or something since I haven’t posted anything since last Friday.  Truth is, I have been working on a bunch of things that I can’t  share (mostly magazine submissions).  Four projects to be exact, so I’ve been very busy, just no blog content.

I finished the last of these projects this morning, so I decided to make a kind of collage that reveals small bits of each one.  A few HSTs, a bit of bias and a lot of great fabric.

What next?  My UFO pile is unusually large.  I definitely need to finish up some works in progress.  I’ll have to clean up the sewing room, take inventory of what is half done and make a plan!  I must admit that I am very good at making plans, but not the best at following them – I always think I’ll be able to finish things faster than I actually can.  But, it is a good place to start!

    Never a plan, but I've been working away on mine. Trying to finish two for every one that I start! (It isn't working that well.)

    I made a lot of plans for tackling my ufo piles. And life did make a lot of plans to fill my daily to do lists too. Unfortunately life seems to believe that I call them UFOs because this is their purpuse. Perhaps I should come up with plan B and call them GTBFOs (Going-to-be-finished objects). It's just so hard to spell 🙂

    One year I made finishing [or getting rid of] UFOs my major project of the year. I publicly proclaimed it on my blog and made a blog list for the ones I finished.

    Somehow this worked for that year. I did start a few new ones, but I promised myself that only three of those could follow me over to the next year.

    Got my total down from about 40 to 14, and I was very satisfied with that!

    Since then, not so good.

    can't wait to see what you are making. I need to move though my UFO pile too!
